(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, March 29, 2025, at approximately 12:25 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of W. Fallen Oak Lane on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male (26 years old) with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
During this investigation, police located a vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting in the 100 block of E. Hines Place. Officers observed three occupants exit the vehicle and walk away.
When officers attempted to stop the subjects, they fled on foot.
A short time later officers apprehended one of the subjects, identified as 26-year-old Andrew L. Webster. Police were unable to locate the other two subjects who had fled the scene.
During a search of the vehicle, police located a handgun inside.
Webster was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, Obstructing an Officer, and Resisting Police.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
This incident remains under investigation.
