(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at approximately 2:49 p.m., Peoria Police were dispatched to a local hospital on a report of a person dropped off by private vehicle with a single gunshot wound.
When officers arrived, they made contact with the adult male victim (36 years old), who told police he got into a verbal altercation with an unknown male in the 300 block of Wayne Street. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and shot the victim. The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
Police went to the area where the shooting occurred and conducted an investigation. The suspect was not located.
Currently, there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
