[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Battery

(PEORIA, IL) Friday, May 16, 2025, at approximately 11:59 p.m., Peoria Police were dispatched to the 2800 block N. Sheridan on a Shot Spotter alert of one round fired.

When officers arrived, they did not locate any victims at the above location.

While searching the surrounding areas, police located a juvenile male (17 years old) in the 600 block of W. Hanssler Place with a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim told officers he was approached by two unknown males while walking in the area. One of the males fired a shot at the victim, striking him in the arm. Both males then fled the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police conducted a search of the area for the suspects with negative results.

This incident is under investigation. Currently, there is no suspect information.
