Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13, and lasting through approximately noon on Saturday, June 14, numerous intersections and roads throughout Downtown and the North Valley will be restricted due to the Steamboat Classic 15K, sponsored by Break The Tape, LLC.
Drivers should exercise caution and patience along the race route. The use of alternative routes is advised, and delays should be expected.
Race Route
• Steamboat Classic participants will start on S.W. Washington Street at Hamilton Boulevard. Participants will race north on Eaton Street, west on Bryan Street, north on N.E. Madison Avenue, west on Abington Street, enter into Glen Oak Park, exit onto E Gift Avenue, south on N. Prospect Road, re-enter into Glen Oak Park, exit east on Abington Street, south on N.E. Monroe Street, east on Main Street, and finish at Water Street.
Road Closures – 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13
• Main Street from S.W. Washington Street to S.W. Water Street will close to all traffic starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13, and will last until approximately noon on Saturday, June 14.

• S.W. Washington Street from Main Street to Eaton Street.
Road Closures – 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 14
• The I-74 eastbound Washington Street Exit 94.
• The I-74 westbound Adams Street Exit 93.
Road Closures – 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 14
• S.W. Water Street will be closed from Liberty Street to Hamilton Boulevard. Access to the Peoria Riverfront Museum Parking Deck will be maintained.
• N.E. Madison Avenue will be closed from Main Street to Abington Street.
• N.E. Monroe Street will be closed from Main Street to Abington Street.
• Main Street will be closed from N.E. Perry Avenue to S.W. Water Street.
• Hamilton Boulevard will be closed from N.E. Perry Avenue to N.E. Water Street.
• Fayette Street will be closed at N.E. Perry Avenue.
• Spalding Avenue will be closed from N.E. Adams Street to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Bryan Street will be closed from N.E. Monroe Street to N.E. Adams Street.
• Hancock Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Green Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Wayne Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Morgan Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Evans Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Morton Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Voris Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Spring Street will be closed from N.E. Jefferson Avenue to N.E. Perry Avenue.
• Lavelle Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Caroline Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Mary Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Cornhill Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Hayward Street will be closed from N.E. Madison Avenue to N.E. Monroe Street.
• Abington Street will be closed from N.E. Jefferson Avenue to N. Prospect Road.
• N.E. Perry Avenue will be closed at Park Avenue.
• N. East Street will be closed at Frye Avenue.
• E. Frye Avenue will be closed at N. Prospect Road.
• E. Gift Avenue will be closed from N. Springdale Avenue to N. Prospect Road.
• N. Springdale Avenue will be closed at E. Gift Avenue.
• Northbound N. Prospect Road will be closed from E. Gift Avenue to the entrance of Glen Oak Park.
Temporary Restricted Intersections: The Peoria Police Department will let drivers cross when the road is clear of participants.
• The intersection of Main Street and N.E. Adams Street will be temporarily restricted during the race. Approaching the intersection, traffic will be reduced to one lane.
• The intersection of Bryan Street and N.E. Adams Street will be temporarily restricted during the race. Approaching the intersection, traffic will be reduced to one lane.
• The intersection of Main Street and N.E. Jefferson Avenue will be temporarily restricted during the race. Approaching the intersection, traffic will be reduced to one lane.
• The intersection of Bryan Street and N.E. Jefferson Avenue will be temporarily restricted during the race. Approaching the intersection, traffic will be reduced to one lane.
