(PEORIA, IL) On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at approximately 8:52 p.m., officers with the Peoria Police Department responded to the 800 block of S. Griswold Street on a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 21-year-old male who stated he had arranged to meet a potential buyer for a game console in the 2400 block of W. Proctor Street. While waiting at the location, he was approached by two unidentified males.
During the transaction, one of the suspects produced a handgun, stole the console, and both suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim was not injured.
Officers conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area; however, the suspects were not located. At this time, there is no available suspect information.
This incident remains under investigation.
