(PEORIA, IL) On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at approximately 9:43 p.m., Peoria Police officers responded to the 2000 block of W. Antoinette following a ShotSpotter alert indicating 12 rounds were fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Preliminary information indicates the victim was struck while seated outside a residence in the area. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers conducted a thorough search of the area, including the deployment of a police drone, but were unable to locate a suspect.
