(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, August 16, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Peoria Police officers were patrolling the 200 block of SW Water Street when they observed smoke coming from a vehicle parked in a public lot.
Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with the three occupants inside. The individuals were asked to exit the vehicle while officers conducted a probable cause search.
During the search, officers recovered illegal drugs from inside the vehicle. A loaded firearm was located on the person of 23-year-old Reginald Flemister-Tolson. Officers also found illegal drugs in a bag belonging to 21-year-old Tanasia E. Boone. In addition, a backpack belonging to 23-year-old Takyla L. Trent was found to contain two loaded 9mm firearm magazines, along with illegal drugs.
• Boone and Trent were arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
• Flemister-Tolson was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm without a FOID card, and Possession of Firearm Ammunition without a FOID card.
All three subjects were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
