(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, August 23, 2025, at approximately 11:26 p.m., Peoria Police officers responded to the 600 block of W. Armstrong Avenue following a ShotSpotter alert indicating 10 rounds were fired.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, identified as 29-year-old Chandler A. Cagle. Cagle informed officers that he had discharged his firearm in self-defense after allegedly being fired upon. No injuries were reported during the incident.
During a search of Cagle, officers recovered a firearm in his possession. Upon completion of the investigation, Cagle was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and transported to the Peoria County Jail.
