(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, September 13, 2025, at approximately 3:21 a.m., Peoria Police officers responded to the 3200 block of N. Prospect Road regarding reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that had crashed into a light pole at Richwoods Boulevard and Prospect Road. Two individuals from the vehicle were detained while officers conducted an on-scene investigation. A handgun, later confirmed to be stolen, was located next to one of the subjects, identified as 18-year-old Jaxson A. Robinson.
During the investigation, officers determined that Robinson had discharged the firearm at another vehicle from the original location. No injuries were reported.
Robinson was arrested for the following offenses:
• Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm
• Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
• Possession of a Stolen Firearm
• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
• Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition without a FOID Card
• Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card
Robinson was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
This incident remains under investigation.
