Full-Size Work Zone and Parking Restrictions Map
Oct. 8, 2025 (Peoria, IL) Beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, resurfacing work will continue on Adams Street, Harrison Street, Liberty Street, Main Street, and Hamilton Boulevard. Lane and parking restrictions will remain in effect in these areas.
Paving work along Adams Street and Hamilton Boulevard is scheduled to begin on Friday, Oct. 9, weather permitting.
While this work occurs, drivers can EXPECT LONG DELAYS. The use of ALTERNATIVE ROUTES IS STRONGLY ADVISED.
Lane Restrictions – Thursday, Oct. 9
- Temporary lane closures will occur in the 300 blocks of Harrison Street, Liberty Street, Main Street, and Hamilton Boulevard while Thursday’s resurfacing work is occurring.
- The far left two lanes of Adams Street will remain closed to ALL TRAFFIC. This closure extends from N. William Kumpf Boulevard to the Interstate 74 overpass.
Parking Restrictions – Thursday, Oct. 9
- The parking lanes along both sides of Harrison Street, Liberty Street, and Hamilton Boulevard will remain closed.
- The northside parking lane on Adams Street from N. William Kumpf Boulevard to the Interstate 74 overpass will remain closed.
- NO ON-STREET PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED IN THESE AREAS. ON-STREET PARKING RESTRICTIONS WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT WHILE THE METERS ARE BAGGED.
- VEHICLES PARKED IN A RESTRICTED AREA WILL BE SUBJECT TO TOWING.
Drivers can expect temporary delays entering and exiting the County of Peoria Parking Deck. Off-street parking will remain available at the Jefferson and Twin Towers parking decks.
Lane closures and parking restrictions WILL CHANGE DAILY. Temporary delays of up to 30 minutes can be expected while entering and exiting parking decks and businesses in the areas where milling and paving work is occurring.
Traffic patterns will return to their current patterns once the resurfacing work has been completed. One-way traffic on Adams Street will remain in place until next year.
Daily updates will last through Friday, Oct. 17. Updates will address where milling and paving work will occur next. Drivers should be mindful of workers in the area. Flaggers will be present at times to help guide traffic. An extreme amount of caution should be used in the area.
