(PEORIA, IL) On Monday, October 27, 2025, at approximately 6:50 a.m., Peoria Police were dispatched to the intersection of Spalding Avenue and NE Monroe Street regarding a report of a person struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers located a 71-year-old male who had been struck. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the victim and the official cause of death will be released by the Peoria County Coroner.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained on scene when officers arrived.
