(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Peoria Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle theft that had just occurred in the 2000 block of W. Forrest Hill Avenue.
During the course of the investigation, officers observed the stolen vehicle traveling southbound on N. Molleck Drive. As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, three male subjects exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Following a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended one suspect, a 16-year-old male, in the area of W. Fallen Oak. A second suspect, a 15-year-old juvenile, was apprehended near W. Sunburst Lane. The third suspect was not located.
Both juveniles were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes.
The 15-year-old was arrested on an active warrant and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
The 17-year-old male was arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer, Possession of Burglary Tools, Reckless Driving, and Traffic Violations. He was later released into the custody of his guardian.
