(PEORIA, IL) On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 300 block of S. Charlton, indicating seven rounds were fired.
Upon arrival, officers conducted an area check and did not locate any victims.
A short time later, officers were notified that a 26-year-old female had arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The investigation determined the victim was inside a vehicle when she was shot at the intersection of W. Brotherson Street and S. Charlton Street. Her injuries are non-life-threatening.
At this time, no suspect information is available. This incident remains under investigation.
