(PEORIA, IL) On Thursday, January 15, 2026, at approximately 3:01 a.m., Peoria police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1500 block of W. Millman.
As officers approached the vehicle, the driver exited and fled on foot.
Following a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended the subject, identified as 24-year-old Evan L. Brown Jr., in the 1500 block of W. Kettelle Street.
During a search of Brown, officers located a bag of cannabis on his person. Brown was taken into custody for obstruction, unlawful possession of cannabis, traffic violations, and an active warrant.
Brown was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
