[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Battery

(PEORIA, IL) On Saturday, January 17, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Peoria Police officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Northeast Glen Oak Avenue in reference to a report of a subject who had arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 43-year-old male victim. The victim reported he was shot by an unknown subject in the area of Monroe Avenue. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to the right leg. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Officers conducted a search of the area identified by the victim as the location of the shooting; however, no evidence or suspect information was located.
This incident remains under investigation. At this time, no suspect information is available.
