(PEORIA, IL) Monday, April 3, 2023, at approximately 12:27 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of N. Knoxville regarding an Armed Hijacking.
When officers arrived, they located the victim who told police he was approached by three males wearing ski masks. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s keys. The suspects then fled in the vehicle heading Eastbound on
Archer. The victim was not injured.
Officers conducted a search of the area for the vehicle with negative results.
At approximately 1:38 a.m. officers located the stolen vehicle unoccupied in the 2200 block of N. North Street.
This incident is under investigation.
