(PEORIA, IL) Monday, April 17, 2023, at approximately 7:44 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 2500 block of W. Melrose Place on a call of an Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim who told police he was approached by three male suspects as he was exiting his vehicle at the above location.
One
of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The victim was not injured.
The suspects then drove away in the victim’s vehicle at a high rate of speed heading southbound on Sterling.
Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspects with negative results.
This incident is under investigations.
