[ARCHIVED] City Requesting Proposals for Improvements to 3560 SW Adams Street

The City of Peoria Community Development Department is seeking proposals for the environmental remediation and rehabilitation of the property at 3560 SW Adams Street, Peoria, IL 61605.

The property consists of 5.4 acres. It was previously used as a junkyard, a bulk gasoline filling station, TV sales, real estate office, and used car sales. Remediation is necessary as select semi-volatile organic compounds, polychlorinated biphenyl mixtures, pesticides, and metals are present in the soil.

Submit Your Bid
The request for proposal (RFP) is divided into two sections: environmental remediation and rehabilitating existing structures. Eligible vendors are invited to submit bids for one or both requests.

A mandatory site visit and informational meeting will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 10:00 AM at 3560 SW Adams Street. Parking is available on-site and along Stanley Street. The meeting will be held rain or shine.

There are three ways to submit your bid:

  1. Online: Visit BidNet Direct
  2. In person: Drop off three hard copies of your bid in the Purchasing Office, City Hall, 419 Fulton Street, Peoria, IL 61602, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  3. Mail: Send three copies of your bid to City Hall, c/o Purchasing Division, 419 Fulton Street, Room 110, Peoria, IL 61602.

The City of Peoria will accept sealed bids until 5:00 PM, June 1, 2023. Interested vendors can view specific details about the project, ask questions, and view previously asked questions and answers at BidNet Direct

Improvements to the property at 3560 SW Adams Street are funded through a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Up Grant and Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Rebuild Program grant.
