(PEORIA, IL) Monday, November 7, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 500 block of W. Gift regarding three separate Shot Spotter alerts totaling 21 rounds fired.
When officers arrived on scene, they located two male juveniles with apparent gunshot wounds. One juvenile had non-life-threatening injuries. The other juvenile has life threatening injuries and is in critical condition. Both victims were transported to a local hospital.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigation Division (SID), Criminal Investigations Division (CID, Neighborhood Services Unit (NSU), Crime Scene Unit (CSU) and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
There currently is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
