(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, June 11, 2023, at approximately 12:58 a.m. Peoria Police responded to the 1000 block of W. Virginia on two Shot Spotter alerts of 13 rounds fired (1st) and 9 rounds fired (2nd) from the same area.
While enroute to the above location officers were flagged down by a group of females who had advised officers that an adult male had been shot in the leg and was being transported to a local hospital by private
vehicle. His injuries are non-life threatening.
A short time, later officers learned that a second adult male was shot and transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle. The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.
Police conducted a search of the area where the shootings occurred and located a crime scene. No suspects were located.
This incident is under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.
