(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, June 11, 2023, at approximately 3:45 a.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of Main Street on a large crowd and multiple fights. While officers were dispersing the crowd, numerous shots were fired in the 600 block of Hamilton Blvd. Officers then responded to that area and located a crime scene, but no victims were located at that time.
A
short time later two individuals with gunshot wounds arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle. An adult male and an adult female both sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
This incident is under investigation.
