(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, June 15, 2023, at approximately 8:36 p.m. Peoria Police responded to a Shot Spotter alert of 17 rounds fired in the 2000 block of W. Wiswall.
When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of
the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), Neighborhood Services Unit (NSU) and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
There is currently no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
