(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, June 25, 2023, at approximately 4:11 a.m. Peoria Police were conducting a patrol in the downtown area when they observed a fight happening in the 400 block of Fulton Street. Police were alerted that one of the subjects was armed.
As officers approached, the fight ended. Two adult females told police they were approached by an unknown male who physically attacked them. When another male stepped in
to help the females he was also attacked. The victims sustained minor injuries.
Officers apprehended the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Bryce C. Crandall, who was still on the scene. During a search of Crandall officers located a handgun on his person.
Crandall was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
