The city of Peoria Community Development Department is hosting its annual Great Neighbor Appreciation Week from July 8th through July 14th. The week begins with a citywide cleanup event on Saturday, July 8th and continues throughout the week of July 10th.

Saturday, July 8: City-Wide Cleanup | 9 AM – 11 AM
Join your neighbors, local organizations, and businesses at a citywide cleanup at one of these locations:
- Southside: MLK Jr. Park, 825 W McBean Street, Peoria, IL 61602
- North Valley: Morton Square Park, 901 NE Monroe Street, Peoria, IL 61603
- East Bluff: East Bluff Community Center, 512 E Kansas Street, Peoria, IL 61603
- Center Bluff: McClure Library, 315 W McClure Avenue, Peoria, IL 61604
- West Bluff: City parking lot, 714 W Main Street, Peoria, IL 61606
Monday, July 10: Nonprofit Appreciation Day
Community Development staff will be visiting nonprofits thanking them for their work.
Tuesday, July 11: Code Encouragement Day
Code Enforcement staff will hand out Good Job Door Hangers to neighbors who go above and beyond to maintain their yards and properties.
Wednesday, July 12: Local Business Appreciation Day
Community Development staff will be visiting small businesses thanking them for all the work they do.
Thursday, July 13: Downtown Cleanup | 11:30 AM – 1 PM
Join Community Development staff at City Hall, 419 Fulton Street, Peoria, IL 61602 for a cleanup.
Friday, July 14 : Code Encouragement Day
