City of Peoria Seeking Input at Upcoming Community Visioning Workshops
The public is invited to participate in strategic planning for the city’s future
July 7, 2023 (PEORIA, IL) Over 400 community members participated in the city of Peoria’s strategic planning kick-off on June 1 and 2, and the public is invited to continue to provide input at the upcoming Community Visioning Workshops scheduled for July 20 and 21. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in activities and discussions to provide additional feedback and generate ideas.
When completed later this year the strategic plan will serve as a roadmap to guide decisions about the City’s future. The plan will incorporate feedback from community members, stakeholders, and the City Council to establish the city’s vision and align the City’s goals, priorities, and budgets over the next five years.
Four Community Visioning Workshops have been scheduled with one virtual option. Attendees should register for their preferred session on the Peoria2023.org website. Those selecting the virtual option will receive a ZOOM link via email.

Assistant City Manager Kimberly Richardson thanked the attendees of the June kickoff saying, “Attendees participated in a lively discussion, and it was great to hear their feedback on their priorities for the city. Hosting additional forums offers another opportunity for community members to weigh in on issues that are important.”
