(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at approximately 8:29 p.m. Peoria Police responded to an Armed Robbery in progress in the 4000 block of SW Adams Street.
Prior to police arrival, the male suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash from the register.
Witnesses told police the male suspect was wearing a makeshift white mask over his head and carrying a machete. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect then ran towards Oregon Street.
Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspect with negative results.
This incident is under investigation.
