The City of Peoria’s solid waste hauler, GFL, will not collect recycling or trash the day after Christmas, Monday, December 26, and the day after New Year’s Day, Monday, January 2.
Residents with a Monday pick-up will have their collection Tuesday, December 27, and Tuesday, January 3. This schedule change will delay service by one day for the remainder of the week.
As a reminder, to avoid missing a collection, recycling and trash containers must be set out as early as 3 pm the day before pickup and no later than 6 am on your scheduled day. After pickup, move your containers from the curb or alley within 24 hours. Place them in your garage or alongside your house or garage. Please do not leave containers on the street or sidewalk.
