Previously Reported:
(Peoria, IL) – Saturday, July 15, 2023, at approximately 5:57 pm, Peoria Police responded to the 2400 block of N. Gale regarding a report of shots fired. A caller further advised a victim was being transported to a local hospital via private vehicle.
Officers located items of evidentiary value in the parking lot of Parkview Estates, 2401 N Gale.
The victim, a 26-year-old male, sustained life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division and officers with the Crime Scene Unit were on scene.
The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: 8/17/23
During the course of the investigation, Peoria Police Detectives were able to identify a 16-year-old male as one of the persons on scene shooting a firearm.
On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, the juvenile turned himself in at the PPD lobby.
The 16-year-old male was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm Under 21.
The juvenile was later transported to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
