[ARCHIVED] Seal coating road projects to begin Thursday throughout the City

082123 Seal Coating Map

The 2023 Seal Coating Project will begin on Thursday, August 24, on various City streets. Residents directly impacted by the project will be notified with a door hanger 24 to 48 hours in advance of the work.

When notified, residents will be asked to remove all vehicles parked on the street. No parking areas will remain in effect until the project has been completed and the no parking signs have been removed.

Seal coating is a two-day operation. Day one will be street sweeping work and day two will be the seal coat application. No parking and other traffic signs will be placed on selected streets and residents will be required to find alternative, off-street parking.

During the process, roads and driveways may have limited access for 30 to 60 minutes. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.

This work is part of the Public Works Department’s 2023 Pavement Preservation Program. The City appreciates the public’s patience while these roadway treatments are applied to extend the life of the pavement.
