(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, August 26, 2023, at approximately 1:13 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 2800 block of NE. Madison on a Shot Spotter alert of 15 rounds fired.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The male was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The
cause and manner of death will be released by the Peoria County Coroner.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID), Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Neighborhood Services Unit (NSU), Crime Scene Unit (CSU) and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Currently, there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
