[ARCHIVED] Downtown pavement striping work to begin on Tuesday, Aug. 29

Beginning at 7:30 am on Tuesday, August 29 on Fulton Street from SW Jefferson Street to SW Monroe Street; SW Madison Avenue from Fulton Street to Main Street; and SW Monroe Street from Fulton Street to Main Street, lane striping work will occur.  

Tuesday’s lane striping will not result in lane closures or parking restrictions and is expected to be completed by 3:30 pm, weather permitting. 

Beginning at 7:30 am on Wednesday, August 30, and Thursday, August 31, on Fulton Street from SW Jefferson Street to SW Monroe Street; SW Madison Avenue from Fulton Street to Main Street; and SW Monroe Street from Fulton Street to Main Street, crosswalk and stop bar striping work will occur.

Drivers should be mindful of lane shifts while crosswalk and stop bar striping work on Wednesday and Thursday is completed. There will be no parking restrictions on Wednesday and Thursday and work is expected to be completed by 3:30 pm, weather permitting. 

Beginning at 7 am on Friday, September 1, there will be no on-street parking on Fulton Street from SW Jefferson Street to SW Monroe Street; SW Madison Avenue from Fulton Street to Main Street; and SW Monroe Street from Fulton Street to Main Street for permanent parking lane striping work.

These parking restrictions will be in effect until 3:30 pm on Friday, September 1. On-street parking will be available after 3:30 pm and through the weekend.

Drivers should be mindful of workers in the area and watch for bagged “No Parking” meters on Friday, September 1. Extra caution should be exercised in the area.
