(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, September 3, 2023, at approximately 11:44 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 200 block of Ellington on a one-round Shot Spotter alert.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male identified as 29-year-old Jevarion L. Scott.
During the course of the investigation, officers determined Scott fired the shot. No one was injured.
Scott was arrested for Reckless Discharge, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and No FOID.
Scott was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
On Monday, September 4, 2023, at approximately 1:17 a.m. Peoria Police responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts that came in at 4 different locations.
The first Shot Spotter was in the 700 block of Park, followed by another alert in the 2300 block of NE Perry at 1:21 a.m., followed by another alert in the 2200 block of NE Perry at 1:22 a.m. followed by another alert in the 2100 block of NE Perry also at 1:22 a.m. totaling 5 rounds fired.
When patrol and detail officers arrived, they located two males in walking in the area where the shots occurred. One of the males identified as 29-year-old Stacey J. Rubini fled on foot but was later detained and taken into custody.
Rubini was arrested for Obstructing Police.
Officers also detained 52-year-old Clifford L. Headley. A search of Headley was conducted with negative results.
A K9 was utilized and located a discarded handgun in the area where Headley was observed walking.
Headley was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and no FOID.
Both subjects were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
