[ARCHIVED] 9/5/23 Homicide Investigation UPDATE

(Peoria, IL) – On Thursday, August 10, 2023, at approximately 9:09 pm, Peoria Police responded to the area of the 1000 block of S Western regarding a stabbing victim.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim with a puncture wound to the chest in the 1000 block of S. Western. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
During the course of the investigation, detectives developed information leading to the identification of a suspect, Cathy A. Logan aka “Tweety Bird” or “Tweet”. Logan is described as a Black female, 5’2”, 125 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black bonnet/shower cap, a pink/white/black jacket, black joggers, and white with black athletic shoes. Logan does not have a left eye and occasionally wears a prosthetic eye. 
Peoria Police requested help from the public regarding information on Logan's whereabouts. Logan should NOT BE APPROACHED. Anyone with information on Logan's current location should call 9-1-1 immediately.

UPDATE: September 5, 2023
On Monday, September 4, 2023, the investigation led officers to a residence in the 900 block of S. Warren where the suspect, Cathy Logan was observed.
Officers entered the residence and placed Logan into custody without incident.
Logan was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for 1st Degree Murder and two outstanding warrants.
Logan was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
