(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, October 8, 2023, at approximately 3:51 a.m. Peoria Police observed a wanted subject enter a vehicle at a business in the 200 block of N. MacArthur and drive away.
During the course of this investigation, officers observed the male subject identified as 25-year-old Javion A. Younger drive to another business in the 600 block of W. Main Street.
Officers approached the vehicle and observed a semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine inside. The handgun was reported stolen.
Younger was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm, No FOID, Battery on an unrelated incident and an active warrant.
Younger was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
