(PEORIA, IL) Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at approximately 3:54 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Neighborhood Services Unit (NSU) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 900 block of N. Bourland.
When officers approached the vehicle, they made contact with the driver identified as 53-year-old Price L. Russell.
During the stop, officers learned that Russell had a suspended Illinois Driver’s License.
Russell was detained as officers conducted a check of the vehicle.
During the search officers located a handgun and stun gun inside.
Russell was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, No Valid FOID, and several traffic offenses.
Russell was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
