(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, November 18, 2023, at approximately 1:44 a.m. Peoria Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Gale and University on a vehicle for multiple traffic violations.
When officers approached the vehicle, they made contact with the driver identified as 26-year-old Latrice Triplett.
During the stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, officers located a handgun inside the vehicle. The magazine for the handgun was located on Triplett’s person.
Triplett was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition without a FOID Card.
Triplett was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
