(PEORIA, IL) Monday, January 29, 2024, at approximately 3:24 a.m. Peoria Police responded to the 2300 block of N. Elmwood on a report of three male juveniles breaking into a vehicle.
When officers arrived, they made contact with the vehicle’s owner who told police the males fled the area on foot when the vehicle’s alarm went off.
While searching the area officers located a 16-year-old male nearby who matched the description of one of the suspects.
The juvenile was detained and subsequently arrested for Burglary to a Motor Vehicle.
He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
