(PEORIA, IL) Monday, February 19, 2024, at approximately 12:12 p.m. Peoria Police responded to a business in the 3000 block of N. Sterling regarding a robbery.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male employee who told police three male juveniles entered the business, stole several items, and fled the business on foot.
During a search of the area officers located juveniles matching the description of the suspects in the 3000 block of Woodbine Terrace. The juveniles, ages 14, 14, and 16, were taken into custody. Officers also located a loaded handgun near one of the juveniles.
All three juveniles were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes.
One 14-year-old was arrested for Aggravated Discharge and Armed Robbery in reference to incident 23-20469. He was arrested for Mob Action, Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm in reference to incident #24-313.
The 16-year-old was arrested for Retail Theft in connection to this incident.
The other 14-year-old was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Resisting Police in connection with this incident. He was arrested for Mob Action, Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm in reference to incident #24-313.
He was arrested for Mob Action, Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm in reference to incident #24-344.
All three juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
