Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at approximately 5:22 p.m. Peoria Police Patrol officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of E. Thrush in reference to trouble with a male. Officers detained 33-year-old Detrick M. Harris.
While on scene members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division served a search warrant on the residence. During the search officers located illegal drugs, drug
equipment, and two handguns.
Harris was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (2 counts), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Harris was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
