Sunday, March 24, 2024, at approximately 9:02 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of New York on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.
The
victim told police he was shot inside a residence in the 500 block of E. Pennsylvania by two unknown male subjects.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspects with negative results.
Currently, there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
