(PEORIA, IL) Friday, March 29, 2024, at approximately 8:24 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 3600 block of W. Marengo Drive on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located a 16-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound.
The
victim told police he was driving near Molleck and Forest Hill when an unknown male walking in the street started shooting at his car.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Currently, there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
