(PEORIA, IL) Friday, April 5, 2024, at approximately 1:59 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 2100 block of W. Marquette Ave. on a Shot Spotter alert of 11 rounds fired.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.
The
victim was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), Neighborhood Services Unit (NSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Currently, there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
