On Saturday, April 13, 2024, at approximately 6:58 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Bestor on a report of a fight involving 30 juveniles. While en route officers were also informed that a female in the group displayed a handgun.
When officers arrived, they observed a large group of juveniles fighting. When officers approached the group, they fled on foot. While on scene officers located a
female juvenile with a head injury. The juvenile told police she was struck in the back of her head multiple times with a gun during the fighting. The juvenile along with two other juveniles were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
During the course of this investigation officers located two adult females involved in the fighting. No weapon was located.
56-year-old Ella M. Washington was subsequently arrested for Mob Action.
37-year-old Antoniss G. Cooley was arrested for Mob Action and Aggravated Battery.
Washington and Cooley were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
