(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, May 4, 2024, at approximately 1:25 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of N. Gale on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle that was struck by gunfire.
Lifesaving measures were immediately performed on the victim until he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The identity of the victim and cause of death will be determined by the Peoria County Coroner.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Currently, there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
