Sunday, May 5, 2024, at approximately 12:44 a.m. Peoria Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation in the 2300 block of N. Knoxville.
During the stop, officers found probable to search the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded firearm with the serial number scratched off. Officers also located illegal drugs on the person of the passenger identified as 23-year-old Jazzston L. Logan. Logan also had an active warrant for Battery (#23-22951).
Officers located brass knuckles on the person of the driver identified as 23-year-old Damar A. Bradford.
Logan was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm with Defaced Identification, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful
Possession of Firearm Ammunition with a Valid FOID Card, and Battery.
Bradford was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm with Defaced Identification, Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition with a FOID Card, and
Traffic Offenses.
Both men were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
