(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, May 4, 2024, at approximately 4:43 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of N. Kingston Drive on a report of a Vehicle Burglary.
When officers arrived, they located two male juveniles matching the description of the two suspects who also stole a vehicle earlier in the 3600 block of N. Rochelle Lane.
When
the two juveniles, both 13-years-old observed police approaching, they exited the vehicle and fled on foot. During the chase, officers observed one of the males throw a large screwdriver on the ground. The screwdriver was immediately collected by police.
Both males were arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft, Criminal Damage to Property, Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Burglary Tools, Resisting Police, and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
They were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
