(PEORIA, IL) Monday, May 13, 2024, at approximately 9:48 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 2100 block of N. Bourland on a Shot Spotter alert of 5 rounds fired.
While en route officers were informed that a gunshot victim was down in the 1700 block of N. Machin and was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle.
The adult male victim told police he was approached by two unknown males while standing outside his residence. The victim was shot twice and is listed in stable condition.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to both locations and initiated an investigation. A crime scene was located by officers on Machin. Nothing was located on N. Bourland.
This incident is under investigation. There is no suspect information.
