(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at approximately 12:53 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) with the assistance of a License Plate Reader (LPR) located a vehicle that fled from police during a previous traffic stop (#24-10381).
Officers observed the vehicle come to a stop at a business in the 3000 block of N. Wisconsin.
The
driver identified as 21-year-old Antonio T. Williams-Harris was observed walking into the business. Officers entered the business taking Williams-Harris into custody without incident and located a loaded handgun on his person.
Williams-Harris was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Williams-Harris was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
