(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, June 1, 2024, at approximately 5:08 a.m. Peoria Police responded to the 1300 block of W. Jeth Court on a report of a home invasion where an armed male forced his way inside a residence and later fled with a one-year-old child.
During the course of this investigation officers located the suspect’s vehicle wrecked at Pioneer Parkway and University. The child and the suspect were not inside the vehicle.
A
short time later officers located the suspect identified as 29-year-old Orlandrius M. Mahaney in the 7500 block of Miramar. The child was later located safe and uninjured.
Mahaney was arrested for Home Invasion, Child Abduction, Reckless Driving, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
