(PEORIA, IL) Friday, May 31, 2024, at approximately 11:54 p.m. Peoria Police conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation at the intersection of Hamilton and Washington Street.
When officers approached the vehicle, they made contact with three adult males inside. During the stop, officers determined there was probable cause to search the vehicle.
During the search officers located a loaded firearm and ammunition inside.
The passenger identified as 29-year-old Tyraze M. Turner was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition without a FOID Card.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
